  • Before you start your yoga journey wait two hours after eating a small meal, and four hours after eating a large meal.
  • Yoga is the only exercise on the planet that exercises and tones the whole body while giving you energy.
  • So, try the right way even if you can only do part of the asanas, and you will receive 100% of the medical benefits.

Traditional Yoga's Concepts

Plato covers the concepts and definitions on drishti, stretching vs conditioning, yoga breathing, flowing, asanas, vinyasa, finding your zone, alignment, undiana bandha, bandha and prana.

This first yoga lesson is an introduction to basic 101, and advance yoga techniques. The basic and advance concepts are really one and the same. So, you are off to the best overall start learning here.

 

 

 

Sun Rise

Sun Rise for the AM to start your day off to awaken the cells in your mind and body. So, roll out of bed to your mat and flow with around the world, star gazing, halfway lift, rag doll, cat and dog, and locus.

In the beginning do not stay long in the postures, until you become familiar and gain stamina. Do not strain to hold a posture. Gradually increase the time spent in each position so that your stamina and health improves. As time goes on you will want to spend more time in your asanas.

 

 

Sun Salutation

Sun Salutation is to warm up your body and unit your body, mind and spirit into one. Also, it brings the energies of the body and mind into equilibrium with tadasana, volcano, standing forward bend, high plank, cobra, downward facing dog, upward facing dog, and prana.

Go slow when learning the asanas. Your body will adjust on a daily bases. The next day when you take the journey into your power you will notice a difference.

 

 

A Cup of Yoga

To energize your vortex of energy with warrior one, warrior two, counter flowing, angle, triangle, crescent lunge, standing forward bend and standing straddle twist.

Alignment Always build from the ground up for a strong foundation. Start off first with your feet, then the legs, followed with the body, arms and neck. When you come out of a asanas reverse the order, come from the top down. If you fall out of position start the asanas over. Also, never snap release out of a position.

 

Espresso

When your ready, advance to Espresso. This vinyasa series will strengthen and tone your legs with thunderbolt, twist, eagle, pyramid, back bend, leg raise, revolve leg raise, tree and dancer.

Adjustments When learning yoga find your zone, and make it work for you by making adjustments.

Again, never snap release.

 

 

Full Moon

To relax the body and mind after work to release the stress and rejuvenate with lotus, hero, staff, seated forward bend, seated one leg bend, concave, seated simple twist, revolve simple twist, roll back, bridge, fish, dead bug, reclining full twist, reclining half twist and savasana.

Also, the twist will detoxify the organs in your body. The twist squeezes you organs like a sponge, then when you release new blood is replaced with the fresh nutrients.

 

 

New Moon

Additional moon positions to tone your tights with sputa duda, butter fly and half pigeon.

You will need a yoga mat for a nonslip surface. Also, it has cushioning with cords inside for support and to keep the mat from breaking.

 

 

 

 

 

Tummy Toning

Just do it with boat, 30 60 and 90 degree leg raises, and revolving abdominal twist.
